Helen joined the firm in 1999 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in 2001. Since that time Helen has established herself as one of the leading family law solicitors in the North-East.
Helen has been accredited by the law society in Family law and Children law and also by Resolution as a specialist in domestic abuse and financial provision cases.
Helen understands the sensitivity and difficulties of family cases and appreciates that sometimes court is not the right option for you and your family. Helen works with local mediation services to provide support and assistance to avoid court and is also a trained collaborative lawyer which means that we can also offer out of court solutions for all of your family issues. However if your case needs a strong advocate Helen can represent you in Court and support you through the process,
Helen has been shortlisted as lawyer of the year in the north east law awards in 2017 and the team in the Family law team of the year in 2018 showing that a small local friendly firm can provide a high quality but personal and effective service to you and your family.

Cameron Caris is the Managing Partner at Caris Robson LLP.
Having joined the firm initially as a trainee in 2007, after completing the CPE and LPC at Northumbria University, he qualified in 2010, before assuming the role of Managing Partner a few years later.

Joanne Ramshaw

Joanne is the bookeeper/accountant at Caris Robson having trained to do so following working for the firm for many years as a Legal Secretary
Carly Martin
(Legal Assistant)
Carly has worked as a Legal Assistant since 1993, and predominantly supports Cameron Caris in respect of Private Client work, although Carly has obtained considerable experience of other legal matters including Commerical Leases and Residential Conveyancing, during her career.
Michelle Cresswell
(Paralegal and Secretary to Cameron Caris)
Michelle joined Caris Robson in the summer of 2014, and has recently completed a Central Law Training course and is now a Specialist Conveyancing Paralegal. She assists Cameron Caris in respect of Conveyancing matters.
Catherine Randall
(Secretary)
Catherine joined Caris Robson in 2023 and supports Helen Robson in the Family Law side of the firm.
